Agencies
Why an agency?
A translation agency such as TransAction will have a whole range of
specialists on its books, meaning there is more chance of finding the
right translator for your particular language and subject area. In
your search for the right person it can save a lot of time and effort.
An agency is also in the position where it can provide extra value
services to both its clients and its colleagues in the translation
industry. It will have more resources than the individual translator, as
well as a good understanding of the freelance sector and its variety of
specialisms and needs that an in-house translation company may not have.
This combination allows TransAction to be flexible and competitive when
responding to clients' needs and to promote greater understanding of
translation and interpreting in the eyes of the public. TransAction
also helps translators and interpreters in all aspects of their work, be
it to do with hardware, software, the Internet and finding language
resources.

Problems with my file
I have opened my translation in my word
processor, but it is just gobbledegook
One reason can be that your operating system is not configured for
foreign language fonts. If you use Windows 95, 98 or 2000, read our guide
on how to install
language support in hints &
tips.
My finished translation arrived by email, but the message is just
gobbledegook and there is no attachment
Sometimes an email attachment does not arrive as it should. It
has been encoded en route but has failed to decode properly by the time it
arrives on your hard drive. You can decode it using WinCode, for
which we have written basic guides in hints & tips.
